Update in MGUS, SMM and AL Amyloidosis, Part 2: Monoclonal Gammopathy and Amyloidosis

In this, the second part of a two­ part series, Brendan Weiss, MD, offers an interrogative on the diagnosis and treatment of AL amyloidosis, a disorder associated with plasma cell dyscrasia. Dr. Weiss considers  the current potential for early diagnosis of the disease, and the potential for highly active anti­plasma cell chemotherapy regimens (and other therapies) to improve outcomes in advanced cardiac amyloidosis.
