Update in MGUS, SMM and AL Amyloidosis, Part 1: Smoldering Multiple Myeloma

In this video, the first of two parts, Brendan Weiss, MD, reviews the diagnosis of smoldering multiple myeloma in the context of progression to symptomatic disease, including a discussion of the new International Myeloma Working Group Diagnostic Criteria for active MM and the use of PET/CT to define a high­risk subgroup found to have a ~70% risk of progression to active multiple myeloma in two years.
