In this third of four videos, radiologist Jill Langer, MD, and endocrinologist Susan Mandel, MD, demonstrate the approach to thyroid ultrasound for lymph node activity in a post-thyroidectomy patient, emphasizing the value of establishing a protocol to ensure a comprehensive investigation of the organ’s central and lateral compartments. Dr Langer then describes the parameters for examining each compartment, discusses thyroglossal duct cysts as a source of thyroglobulin and reviews positioning as an essential element of the examination.
