On Wednesday, September 29th, Penn Medicine’s Aorta Center will host a 1-hour webinar focused on the management of bicuspid aortic valve disease (BAVD) and associated aortopathy, considerations for BAVD as an aortic root disease versus valve disease, and critical decision points for these patients in the cardiology setting.

Panelists will address:

  • History of Bicuspid Aortic Valve Disease, aneurysm prevalence, guidelines for treatment, and imaging classifications
  • Strategies of Bicuspid Aortic Valve Disease in young patients, including BAV repair and Ross procedure
  • Role and challenges of TAVR in treating Bicuspid Aortic Valve Disease
