Understanding Platelet Proteins' Role in Heart Disease -- Research at Penn Medicine

Bruce Sachais, MD, PhD, discusses his lab's research at Penn Medicine. When the human body is bruised or cut, blood platelets take over to help repair vessels, skin, and other tissues.
