Guidelines for Aortic Disease Treatment | Penn Aorta Center

Penn Medicine Vice Chief of Cardiovascular Surgery Joseph Bavaria, MD, reviews how the Penn Aorta Center is working to inform the guidelines for aortic disease treatment.

"Our goal in these domains is to develop clinical research capability and databases, and actually more in-depth projects that also include imaging and natural history, to allow us to inform the guidelines so that we can better treat these patients, but also we have better ideas of when and when not to operate," says Dr. Bavaria.

To refer a patient, call the 24/7 provider-only line at 877.937.7366.
