Penn Medicine’s Cartilage Repair Symposium

James L. Carey, MD, Director of the Penn Cartilage Center, describes the annual Cartilage Repair Symposium, an event hosted at Penn Medicine every Spring by the Department of Orthopaedics and the Penn Center for Advanced Cartilage Repair and Osteochondritis Dissecans Treatment. This year’s event will occur on April 28th and 29th, and features speakers Daniel Saris, MD, PhD of Utrecht University and Farchid Guilak, PhD, of Washington University in St. Louis. Dr. Carey, who serves as course director for the event, reviews the Symposium’s broad agenda, which includes hands-on training, and its educational objectives.
