In this video, thoracic surgeon Joseph E. Bavaria, MD, and vascular surgeon Ronald M. Fairman, MD, of Penn Medicine describe the origin of their clinical collaboration and the manifestations of that teamwork in the procedures, methods and approaches developed for patients with thoracoabdominal disease at Penn Heart and Vascular.

Dr. Fairman is Chief of Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy at Penn and current President of The Society of Vascular Surgery. Dr. Bavaria is Penn’s Director of Thoracic Aortic Surgery and current President of The Society of Thoracic Surgeons.
