Bicuspid Valve Repair Advances | Joseph Bavaria, MD | Penn Medicine

Penn Medicine Vice Chief of Cardiovascular Surgery Joseph Bavaria, MD, reflects on recent advances in bicuspid aortic valve repair in the context of the anatomy of the damaged heart and aortic insufficiency, as well as the future of bicuspid aortic valve surgery. A renowned cardiac surgeon and former President of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, Dr. Bavaria’s comments took place at the 4th North American Valve Repair Symposium in Philadelphia, which he has hosted since its first meeting.
